Below is a brief look at the steps in creating your custom Fire-Pit. The Fire-Pit is built primarily at our shop with the exception of installing the 2" thick stone top & the final gas hook up which is done at your site.

Step 1: We start with a custom welded steel frame built to your specifications and then add cement board to the outside of the frame.

Step 2: After the cement board is attached a metal lathe is secured to the cement board & frame and a thin "scratch coat" of mortar is applied over the metal lathe.

Step 3: The stone veneer or stucco, of your choice, is then mortared to the "scratch coat" on the sides.

Step 4: Depending on the type of joints you choose, we will either apply grout to the joints or if you have chosen a dry-stacked stone no mortar joints will be used.

Step 5: The 2" thick stone top is then hand cut to the correct size and angles.

Step 6: Finally, the Fire-Pit is ready to be delivered to your home. We will deliver and set the Fire-Pit in place and then mortar the top into place, install the burner components, hook up the gas line, and place the lava rock and outdoor log set.
